it's a bit of a sequel to "The Quote To Last a Lifetime"
It's hard to be two in the same when your other half is gone.
Base was a hand sketch, which I inked, and scanned into CS2 and cleaned up for use as line art. It took me 4 hours to get the two halves of the heart to line up perfectly. 3 Hours cleaning up the line art, and another 5 hours painting it.
The only thing that I outsourced for were a few brushpacks which were used on the top layer to help things blend, and darken the mood. Yes, I feel like an ass using someone elses brushes, but until I get a tablet it's the best I can do. I simply can't get the quality of linear detail I want using a mouse.
Brushpacks I used (all from deviantArt) The links to these brushes are easy to find in my Favorite's gallery:

Shiny Little Brushes
very nice indeed. i love it.
