What Binds You? Center Panelby ~zerodeficit

Traditional Art / Paintings / Abstract

This is the finished center Panel of a 5 panel piece. It is acrylic on an 18x24 canvas panel. The final piece took over 30 hours to complete.

The center panel is a lock with chains. This symbolized being bound.

The 4 accent panels feature keys: Love, Money, Fame, and Power

I feel these are things that people associate with success. Though many of us work tirelessly in an effort to succeed and live these qualities, we miss the smaller things in life.

We search so hard for these things, that we often miss the actual opportunity to have them.

The shading on the lock is really awesome. I love the drippiness and the contrast between the bright colours in the background and the grey lock.

I like the background, it really spices up the piece. The lock is well rendered as well. Nicely done.

The drips are my favorie part. It's harder than it looks to get really good drips...

You did an awesome job making it so this piece went with the rest by using the same color scheme, and some of the same dripping effects used on the others. The lock is wonderful. A great focal point!
